Refractory Hypercalcaemia of Malignancy: Responsiveness to Denosumab and Zoledronate

Background: Hypercalcaemia secondary to malignancy is rare in children and adolescents. Parathyroid hormone related peptide (PTH-rP) secreted by malignant cells increases bone resorption and renal calcium retention causing hypercalcaemia.
